The Dark color is an indication moisture
the green is an indication of copper
Testing Brake Fluid

We are looking for Moisture (Left) Copper (Right)
The moisture comes from the air, Brake fluid attracts moisture from the air around it.
Copper comes from the components inside the system including ABS controls valves and lines.
When to change
Many manufacturers recommend replacing brake fluid every 2-3 years no matter how many KM you drive. Here in Alberta you may get away with a little longer with our dry air.
Failure to change when you should can result in costly replacement of Master cylinders, Calipers & Anti Lock Brake components
