When to replace Belts?

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

When the measuring gauge falls below the upper edge of the ribs, it is time to replace your Accessory Drive Belt.

There is an increased chance that the belt will slip & wear on the pullies.

Belt produced in the past 6-10 years are made of an improved compound that will rarely show signs of cracking until they are long past their service life. Most belts will last 100,000 Km in normal use and if they are not damaged by other component failures.

Note that belt replacement @ 100,000 Km may also require the replacement of Idler pullies and tensioner assemblies.
